Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha

This is the most famous place that is a must for all tourists. It is a large compound located near Sanam Luang in the very heart of Bangkok. The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha were built after King Rama I ascended the throne as the founder of the Chakri Dynasty on 6 April 1782 and have undergone several repairs and renovations.

Ayutthaya

The ancient city of Ayuttaya The Thai capital for 417 years, it is one of Thailand's major tourist attraction. Many ancient ruins and art works can be seen in a city that was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong. During the period that Ayuttaya was the Thai capital, 33 kings of 5 dynasties ruled the kingdom until it was destroyed by the Burmese in 1767.

Ayuttaya is 76 kilometers north of Bangkok and boasts magnificent ruins. These numerous ruins indicate that Ayuttaya was one of Indo-China's most properous cities and larger than contemporary London.

Mini Siam Park

Located near Pattaya Klang, is Thailand's first wonder displaying Thai and European heritage on a miniature scale. Hua Hin City Tour

In Hua Hin, which is better known for the beach and pineapple production than vineyards, the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard & Wine Cellar is an increasingly popular stop for tourists who would like to experience Thai wine for themselves. While the food and wine tasting is a rather simple affair, with little education in terms of nose, glasses, grapes and vintage, it is still a fun day out and definitely worthwhile if you are tired of the beach and want to see a little more of Hua Hin, and the rolling hills between the coast and Burma.

Shooting

A number of military operated shooting ranges are available for public use around town, they are usually located a few kilometers out. There is a Hua Hin Shooting Association.

Monkey Island

Full day of fun for the whole family. The tour starts by admiring the panoramic view of the area from a hilltop temple. Cruise through the picturesque fishing village of Pak Nam Pran and out to the open sea. Set sail to Monkey Island, ferry ashore to feed the monkeys (bananas provided), try some fishing (rods and bait provided) or maybe just enjoy a relaxing swim in the clean, calm, warm, safe waters of the Gulf or try some kayaking.

Tropical Garden Nong Nooch

Covering an area of some 500 acres about 15 kilometers from South Pattaya is a Thai-village-style recreation cum vacation park, Suan Nong Nooch. The entire area is beautifully landscaped, with orchid nursery and other botanical gardens. There are also cultural and traditional performances and an elephant show.

Crocodile Farm

The Crocodile Farm in Pattaya does not only show crocodiles. The park is called "The million years stones park as well and so you can see some huge beautiful stones, a colourful park and a lot of attractions and shows. The park covers 280.000 sqm (70 acres).

Safari

Exceptional opportunity to ride in a jeep and watch the giraffes, deers, ostriches, peacocks, hippos and even carnivorous tigers and lions. The tour is for whole day, including lunch.

Khao Kheaw Zoo

The zoo is a home for about 300 species of animals and birds in the total number of 8,000. There is a unique opportunity to see the wild nature and its inhabitants. You can also see rare white tigers delivered from the zoo, "Memphis" (USA).

Wat Yan

Wat Yannasangwararam – a newly completed royal temple dedicated to his Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Located ca. 15km to the south of Pattaya, the Park-like temple is vast, scenic and tranquil and consists of several beautiful buildings, both religious and non-religious, including one looking like a Chinese imperial palace. Built around a lake, the huge facility accommodates a variety of temples of different architectural styles, buildings, monuments, parks, a mountain-temple and small little houses built for the monks to live in.

River Kwai (2d/1n)
